ISDC's purpose is to ensure that every educator in the state of Illinois engages in effective professional learning every day so that every student achieves. We will accomplish our purpose by advocating for high quality professional learning.

ISDC is an affiliate of the National Staff Development Council. We educate and advocate for high quality professional learning every day so that all students achieve. We promote NSDC's definition of Professional Development and the NSDC Standards in the state of Illinois. Members advocate quality professional learning for all Illinois educators.
